BOARD ELECTIONS

ELECTIONS will be held in soon.  Please reach out to any current EUSA Board member if you have an interest in serving!

The Ewing United Soccer Association (EUSA) is a non-profit company that organizes both recreational and travel soccer for all youth in Ewing township. All positions, elected and appointed, are volunteer roles. 

Elected Officers

President:

The President will preside at all meetings of this Association. In general, the President shall be responsible for the adherence to the Constitution and its By-Laws, and guiding the Executive Board in carrying out the policy of the Association. In addition, the President, with the Treasurer, is authorized to sign checks or make electronic payments approved by the Executive Board.

First Vice President

Perform all duties of the President in the absence of the President, except signing checks. In the event of the resignation, suspension, or incapacity of the President, the First Vice- President shall assume all duties of the past President for the remainder of the past President's term.

Second Vice President:

May be elected by the membership to manage a Division or Program as designated by the Executive Board. The Second Vice President succeeds the First Vice President in other duties as described herein.

Secretary:

The Secretary shall keep minutes of all general and Board meetings of the Association. Minutes shall be prepared for distribution and approval at the next scheduled meeting. In addition, the Secretary shall be responsible for keeping and updating a roster of members of the Executive Board, retyped and prepared for distribution to all members of the Association no later than July 1st of each year.

Treasurer:
Time Commitment: 2-5 hours a month (mainly August-November)

shall be responsible for the safekeeping of all revenue and financial accounts of the Association. The Treasurer shall keep a complete record of the financial status and reports of the Association, prepare and submit annual federal, state, and local tax returns, and sign checks or make electronic payments as approved by the Executive Board.


Sergeant-At-Arms:
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours/month (mainly during August-November)

Responsible for the orderly conduct of all meetings of the Association. In addition, the Sergeant At Arms shall notify all voting members of general meetings and Board meeting and see to the maintenance and currency of the Association’s public web pages. In the absence of the Secretary, the Sergeant At Arms shall take minutes and submit to the Secretary for typing and distribution.


Appointed Positions


Player Agent:
Time Commitment: March-April | August-September

Responsible for the following:
  • Monitoring incoming registrations in our online system.
  • Assigning players to the appropriate teams.
  • Communicating to families regarding any questions or issues with registration.
  • Following up with players that have not paid yet.
  • Communicating with the President or Vice President regarding issues with players.
  • Creating the game schedule for recreation soccer.

Concession Stand Managers:
Time Commitment: end of August-beginning of November

Responsible for purchasing the necessary food to run the Concession Stand during the fall season. Also responsible for following up with teams regarding their volunteers and training those volunteers as they arrive. We usually try and have two different people help manage the stand so they can split their time on the weekend.


Field and Equipment Manager:
Time Commitment: August-November

Responsible for organizing the necessary equipment for the fall season. Including: soccer balls. cones, pinnies, portable goals, medical kits, and hand pumps.

Also responsible for checking the nets on each field and working with volunteers to replace or fix the nets as necessary.


Age Group Commissioners (Recreation):
Time Commitment: August-November

Each commissioner is responsible for a certain age group division. They are in charge of making sure each team has the equipment it needs, that the fields are setup before each game, and communicating with coaches regarding any concerns. One of the most important roles of this position is to monitor games and to make sure that parents and coaches are keeping cool heads and reporting back to the President regarding any serious issues.

Coordinator of Competitive Division (i.e. Travel Soccer):
Time Commitment:  August-November and March-June

The coordinator must attend board and league meetings throughout the season and generally coordinate all the travel team schedules, registrations, fees, etc.
