With Two Thrilling Shutout Performances This Weekend, Fusion U11B Maroon Remain Undefeated in Spring League

The Livermore Fusion U11 Maroon Boys dominated the soccer field this weekend with a 1-0 win over ACC Mavericks Madrid and 4-0 win over El Cerrito FC Spurs, continuing on their undefeated winning streak.   Exhibiting great ball control and outstanding teamwork, they kept their opponents on their toes throughout the two exciting games.  The defense put on a stellar performance, completely shutting down both opponents.  Defensemen Hunter Houghton, Reef Sweeney and Thomas Bosso hustled non-stop, putting continuous pressure on the opponent’s offense and controlling the back.  While goalies Alexandr Cortes, Bosso and Austin DeVries were on fire knocking down ball after ball in their successful protection of the net. 

The offense displayed outstanding soccer skills and superb passing throughout both games, with Nadeem Yassin, Kevin Grant, Eduardo Angeles, Cody Lammerts and DeVries all driving in goals.  Of particular note was Eric Perez’ great foot skills and excellent ability to control the ball.   The boys finished the weekend with a 5-0 record for the season thus far.
